Walpole Strike Force, success in CO!

In July, the Walpole Team Strike Force members Keith Hamilton, 13, of Norfolk MA and Carolee Schwarzer, 16, of Mansfield MA, competed in the SCTP National competition for International Style Trap and Skeet in Colorado Springs.

Carolee, who’s been shooting competitively for 2 years, took 3rd in Women’s SCTP Trap Senior division and 1st In Doubles Trap. She also placed 5th overall on International Skeet against 4 USA Shooting team members.

Keith Hamilton took a first place and won GOLD in Doubles Trap in the Intermediate Division while Spencer Iulliano from Weston Ma and shoots for Minuteman Sharp Shooters took 1st overall in Men’s Double Trap.

Grace Hambuchen of Wellesley, MA, shooting for the MinuteMan Sharp Shooters also won a Silver medal in Ladies J3 USA Shooting division on Monday August 1st. According to Russ Iulliano, she was on fire today. Russ said, “whatever she ate for breakfast this morning, I want some!”

The next MA SCTP events are a Medley Fun Shoot on August 21st at Walpole Sportsman’s Association which will consist of 25 Wobble Trap Targets, 25 5-Stand targets and a 50 Target Sporting Clays course. Also planned for the August/September timeframe is the GOAL Crushing Clays Trap competition and the Fall Sporting Clays shoot at Addieville.
